Self-Misimprovement
The internet is quite the disruptive technology. I can hardly imagine how people wasted time before it existed. I suppose there’s TV, but TV is so limited and passive. Perhaps people just stared at the ceiling? Anyways, as a highly advanced Internet user, I would like to share some of my knowledge with you, the three people who read my website. So this is the first of a multipart series on ways to waste time on the internet.
I’ll start with webcomics. Unlike their newspaper-based counterparts, webcomics have the innate advantage of having no arbitrary format restrictions, no arbitrary need to appeal to a broad audience, and no arbitrary need to be family friendly. As a result, many web comics are about nerds and video games, and many include swearing. Today is an exception.
Today, we talk about Dr. McNinja. I discovered this webcomic for myself a few months ago, and I was immediately hooked. Dr. McNinja is a ninja, who is also a doctor. His family is also from Scotland. Or Ireland, depending on where the story needs him to be. Dr. McNinja is surprisingly well written and drawn. The stories are quite long, and the plot lines are absolutely, hysterically ludicrous. His receptionist is a gorilla named Judy. He updates three times a week, and the past 1 and a half episodes (one is in progress) are even in full color! You should definitely check out Dr. McNinja, and you should always remember to check out the alt-text on each message by mousing over the images.

Be Careful What You Wish For
My last post related the unboxing of my first Bag of Random Crap. Before it arrived, I was looking at the post on the Woot Forums for the item, because a lot of people post their winnings when the items are received, and I wanted a heads-up. Well, with the delivery behind me, I went back to the forums to see if anyone had been declared a super mega winner, with awesome pictures showing their take. And what I found was, uh….interesting.

New Year, Mixed Bag of Results
Happy New Year Everyone! I hope everyone is safe and not hungover.
So, my bag of crap finally arrived a day or two ago. I figured that my first post of the New Year should be about it. I’ve been in a state of frantic anticipation since I found out that I had won the Random Crap lottery. But I knew that I needed to calm down, because these mystery prizes are typically shipped from the Carrollton, Texas warehouse via turtle caravan, which is known more commonly by it’s tradename, SmartPost. So, it wasn’t until the 19th that it was shipped, and it wasn’t until the 30th that it arrived, and it wasn’t until the 31st that I actually picked it up from the post office. Here it is, the grand unboxing :
