Origami, Week 50

Week 50, December 8th – December 12th

Seahorse

I really liked this one, although I wasn’t patient enough to get the full bend in the tail.

Santa

Full disclosure; I used a bit of photoshop here. The contrast between red and white is critical for this one, but it was being screwed up by the writing on the “white” side of the paper. So I made it all white. Now, at least you can see the white of the hat and the white of the beard. Before, it seemed like it was a terminator-style santa.

2-Fold Santa

I actually prefer this one to the previous Santa. Only two folds, and while abstract, I think it’s more aesthetically pleasing. If you’re having trouble imagining it, I added some “annotations”.

Ornament

All it needs is some string, and you can attach it to the Christmas tree from two weeks ago.

Boot

This is listed as a boot, but I think it’s clearly more of a stocking. Hang it with care.

As always, these origami designs were found in the Origami Page-A-Day Desk Calendar.

This excessive posting of origami seems very much like an assembly line. Can you put a little more heart into it?

I apologize. I haven’t really felt inspired by many of these origami designs, so I just don’t have all that much to say about them.
