Origami, Week 30
Week 30, July 21st – July 25th
Magic Tipper
I assure you, no cgi magic was used to make this video.
Four-Pointed Star

I’m intrigued by this one. If I folded up steel to make this, I wonder if I could make a real shuriken.
Monkey Climbs the Mountain
Not only origami, this sounds like one of those Kung Fu forms that Jackie Chan might go through in Legend of Drunken Master(go to the 4 minute mark).
Message In a Bottle

The key, of course, is that you write a message on the piece of paper and then use it for the origami. I doubt it’s watersafe, though, so you might not want to go this route if you’re stuck on a desert island.
Buck Bra

This origami was really really hard to take a picture of. This is pretty much the best I could do. I certainly wasn’t going to model them. So stop asking.
As always, these origami designs were found in the Origami Page-A-Day Desk Calendar.

You preemptively dashed my hopes. There has to be something we can do to get you to model the dollar bra. How much money (dollar bills) have you wasted on this Origami?
And what happens to all the Origami pieces when they’re done? I envision a room — not shown in your previous post — dedicated to their display (like a museum). But since that probably isn’t the case, you at least keep the dollar bills, right?

I assume this means you film your movies with the camera in your mouth.

Why doesn’t Jeet ever respond to comments?

Sorry, I usually just figure that no one will return to look at my comments. I usually perch the camera on some books, at an angle, and hope for the best. If I put the camera in my mouth, it is difficult to narrate.
Also, I’ve been keeping most of my origami since the move — I did not ship stuff from January and February out here, though. They’re stuffed into freezer bags. And then frozen, to maintain freshness. I do tend to reuse the dollar bills, though, since I can’t have too much money tied up in origami. Frankly though, considering today’s economy, putting my money into origami probably isn’t the worst investment out there.

You underestimate my boredom during prelim preparations.
