In honor of February (and presumably Valentine’s Day), the color Red on everything. In honor of the Chinese New Year, it’s a Rat.

so it’s kinda like a paper airplane thing, but we’ve folded it so there’s a heart there. They titled this one “Love is in the Air.”

I know all of you out there have been somewhat anxious from the origami delay. I’ve been pretty busy lately, so there’s been a back-log. In fact, I’m still very busy, but I felt I owed it to my fans.

Week Five, January 28th – February 1st

Origami Inside-Out Boat

This was as close to a FAIL as I’ve ever had, so far, I think. It’s disturbing that I’m in freaking Week 5 and they’re already starting to kick my ass. There are a number of rips. But you kinda see the boatness.

Origami Tiny Owls

I’ll have to thank my co-worker Sara for this one, because honestly I was stuck at one point. Hers is on the left, mine is on the right. She is apparently more dexterous. But what my owl lacks in, uh, everything cosmetic, at least it can stand up on its own.

Origami Pop-Up Puppy Card

It’s kinda hard to see what’s going on here, but it’s basically an envelope, with a puppy’s face on the front. I drew in the “eyes” and the “nose” so you can see it better; those two folds on either side of the eyes are the ears.

Origami Flapping Butterfly

I know it’s pretty lifelike, but it’s made of paper and if you look closely at the bottom, you can see my hand making it flap.
