Snow Day 2007
In a day that will go down in infamy, we had a little bit of a blizzard Monday night/Tuesday morning, and classes were canceled here Tuesday and today. This was noteworthy because I can’t remember this much snow since my senior year in undergrad, and that was over winter break. It was only like 12-15 inches, which makes us seem wimpy compared to upstate New York, where we get pictures like this. But it’s a big deal here, mostly because this town has a lot of trouble clearing off a foot of snow. Anyway, my car apparently is parked in a position that suffers from a confluence of winds, so when I tried to dig out this morning, I was greeting with this :
